One of my favourite parts of running a course is setting up the classroom. It’s really important to make the space feel welcoming and exciting. I am very privileged to have examples of set drawings from some of the best draughting talents in the industry which are displayed on the walls. There’s also a wide selection of supporting material for the participants to dip into including my notebooks, project drawings and reference books.
Every participant has industry-standard kit to work with including A1 parallel motion drawing boards. The emphasis of the course is getting to grips with the tools and becoming comfortable using them. Once setting up the board becomes second-nature then drawing up plans, elevations and details will be straightforward.
